Anyone recommend a make-up artist? Update-Found someone and we need a guinea pig

Hi,

The girl I usually use for make-up is moving away soon (I'm a wedding and boudoir tog) so I wondered if any of you lovely ladies could recommend someone?


I've googled a few but no-one seems to jump out at me and they have to be perfect (well perfectly nice anyway!)

I've found a lady now whose work looks great so we've decided to meet up for a photo shoot with her doing hair and make-up...anyone in the south east fancy being a guinea pig Great excuse for a freebie!!!

We're now thinking of doing a freebie 'trash the dress' shoot if anyone in the south east is interested? I have a size 14 dress if you don't want to use your real dress.

Hi ladies,

I'm in Edenbridge, Kent and it looks like we going to arrange a shoot down in Eastbourne or along the coast somewhere.

I want to do a 'real' trash the dress with paint and ripping (can't do burning as Im not a trained pyromaniac!) and another 'just get your dress slightly grubby and need a dry clean' trash the dress shoot.

I only have 1 size 14 dress to ruin, so I only need 1 lady for that (who really doesn't mind getting really dirty..lol)

I don't want to use a model as I want 'real' brides but you do have to be a size 14 or under (thats because of the actual wedding dress and not because Im fatist!) and need another 2 with their own dresses (that will just get dirty not ruined unless you want to of course!)

Forgot to say that you'd have to sign a model release so the images can be used on my and the make-up ladies websites.

Hair styling is included aswell as make-up

Oh, I could never do something like that to my dress! It's a shame, if you were offering a free boudoir shoot in Bedford, I'd probably consider it as an extra something for h2b.

I'd be up for a day out getting really dirty!!! When are you thinking of doing it?
I'm a size 10-12 (more 12 at the moment!) would the dress fit down that small from a 14?

Not sure I could do that to my own dress... more of a rock the frock kind of gal!

I'm south east (ish) but would be happy to travel down to the coast - could be fun! (Plus always fancied getting my makeup & hair done!)

I'm a normal size 12 which is prob a wedding dress 14 anyway! (and 5'8", if that matters?)

Not too late at all as I have another make up artist that I want to try so I'm going to do a couple of days of shoots, its going to be midweek in the summer (needs to be warm as I want some sea shots) Hubbys or hubbys to be are more than welcome to join in!
