a bit scared

hi girls im going in to hospital tomorrow for a pre assessment which will mean within 2 weeks il be going in too get steralized i really want it done im just totally petrified il be put too sleep i dont do needles at all h2b is in essex and cant take time off to come home and help me after mil2b said its like the rugby team have kicked u in the stomach after its done i have the baby too see too plus a 2yr and 4yr old too see too

Awww, don't know what to say. Surely they won't have to give you a needle to knock you out? I would've thought they would put a mask on your face to do that? Having said that, I'm lucky enough to have never had an operation, so I don't know. Is there anyone else close at hand to help you out with the kids (mum/mil/sister, etc?). xxxx

I hate needles so you have my sympathy! mention your fear to them though cos they sometimes give ya a pre med which mellows you a bit and means it doesn't hurt as much!

My friend recently went for the pre-assessment, not sure on the finer details, but believe she said something about gas though if you let them know about your fear of needles they should be able to use another method. Hope all goes well tomorrow, hun. Big hugs. x

i will have a needle in my hand and put on a drip and slowly get knocked out can be called anytime now x

yea see if ive got any pre surgery ops and if im fit for it i nearly passed out when she told me what was going to happen xx
