Trainers, what kind to buy?? Empty Trainers, what kind to buy??

I normally buy converse or campus trainers, so not really the best to keep fit in!!

Does anyone have any recommendations for trainers I can buy? Im looking to go to the gym in them, maybe for a quick walk/jog in them outside?

And preferrably something cheap! Very Happy

Well, it's nike air all the way for me, it always has been. Having said that, I dunno if they'd be good for exercising, as I never do any Embarassed

Go to a specialist running shop and get fitted.

Everyone has slightly different feet, and different brands of shoes suit different people. I apparently have Nike feet- my dad has Oasics (or something like that feet). They will also advise what sort of shoe to get for the level of exercise you do.

Also agree with getting fitted.

Steve has taken up running (doing the half marathon in May, be warned I will be bugging for sponsorship:P lol) and has gone through 2 pairs of trainers that just hurt. He finally went into our local running shop and spent an hour and now feels like he's walking on air!

Plus he explained he was on a budget and got then for only £40. He puts all his weight on the inners of his feet when he walks and so now has trainers with extra support to sort this out Smile

Sorry to be dim, but any recommendations for a specialist shop? Something online would be good so I can look before I go in and buy

The best ones are independent (well they are around here anyway!). They are run by people who actually like sport (rather than doing it for a saturday job during a-levels).
