Wull just phoned, he has spoken to the girl from Historic Scotland, she is happy to swap us castles. She said the the works were only supposed to last until June/July, which is why we havent had a letter, but the works are dragging on.

She said that she was really sorry, she understood why we were changing venues, I have just to email her confirming we are changing, and thats it done. She didnt say anything about any extra costs, so thats good.

I know I should be happy that we are changing venues, Castle Campbell was a nightmare to get to, but Im sitting here in work all upset. Ive planned my wedding, our wedding, at that castle, and now its just taken away. Im happy with Huntingtower, but Im always going to now think 'What would it have been like at the other castle?' What would the picture have been like, what would our guests say about the beautiful castle?

Happy, but sad lol

Just spoke to Wull there, he was saying we should go for a renewal of our vows at the first castle next year or something, which made me smile that he has even thought of something like that!

sorry Zeps I am the irish version on Monica lol. H2b and I our hopefully moving into a bigger house before the wedding just a few more hurdles to cross first so I have been doing as much as I can to save the stress of the move and wedding all getting to me at once.

I sent out my invites last week which was exciting but now I WANT all my rsvps now!!!lol. I don't like waiting at all. I have sorted out too an ice cream van to hire today woop woop

Not got them ordered at the stationers yet, getting them done gratis by a supplier we use in work (woop lucky me!!)

Just got a quote for a coach there to take my guests to the castle, ranging from £550 to £260 Will be booking the £260 one

Ice cream van??! Oh that sounds amazing!! You should get them to mix up some icecream flavours with sprinkles and sauce and a flake of course and name it after you two! It could be the special flavour for the day!

Still got lots of coach companies to call, hopefully I can get some pics online of the cheaper prices and see what the actual coaches look like, dont want to hire some scabby looking bus!

So told h2b about the ice cream van and he reckons that people won't even eat it. Men are such boring old farts - mine is anyway lol
