A good sports bra (high impact) and good trainers.

For bras I use M&S- you can get two for £16.
For trainers- well, its best to get measured properly in a running shop.

Set your self small targets and build up the amount you do.
Some people like music- I prefer daydreaming.

And have a good drink (water or squash) when you get back.

Yep, am definately with you on that. Diet starts today, and I know it's going to be a long hard slog, but I need to shift 19lbs, and I need to do it quickly! So, so far today I have done 40 sit ups (that's all I can manage to begin with, but will do it twice a day), and have cycled 10 minutes on my excercise bike (will do that twice a day also). I have so far taken in about 230 calories, and I predict I will take in no more than another 630 throughout today. So less than 900 calories today. I am going to do it this time, and I don't care if it's hard. I refuse to be a fat bride! lol!

Another tip for when you are running- try to avoid potholes and cracks in the pavement so you don't make a complete tit of yourself like I did this morning...

Mostly tesco healthy living meals. Like tonight I will have one of their lasagnes, which has a whopping 392 calories in! Very Happy My problem is I crave things. Bad things. Like today, it's cheese. And I know the craving wont go away until I've had some. That's where my Saturdays off come in. Coz on Saturday, I will have a little bit of everything I crave during the week (ie. chocolate, cheese, curry, couple of cans of lager). Alot of my calorie intake comes from what I drink, like milky cups of tea, coke, lager, so basically I'm allowing myself one milky cup of tea in the morning with skimmed milk, one cup of tea in the evening with hardly any milk, and water throughout the day. Can of diet cola if I eel like it (only 4 calories, yay!). It's very hard, like I say, already I'm getting cravings, but I will stick to it, because I have to this time. I only have 4 months left. x

God MrsP were you ok hun? Hope so - i think sometimes though no matter how much we hurt ourselves its the embaressment incase anyone seen us. It was really icy this morning - i thought i was going to go ass over t*t!
Ah Charlie - iam the same hun...my craving is chocolate pig
I can eat bars of it in one night - but then ifeel soo guilty after it.
God theres alot of cals in the lasagne - prehaps it would be healthier to make one, least you know what goes init the? Saying that with kids etc theres not always time is there.
I start the day off really well but as evening comes its my danger time, i eat eat eat! Having one treat day a week is a good idea thou - They do that with Slimmers world etc dont they xx

Dunno if they do that with slimmers world? I only know that I need to have a day off to look forward to, or the diet would fail anyway. If I can think "only 3 more days until Saturday, then I can eat what I want", it spurs me on the stick to it. Otherwise I would see no light at the end of the tunnel.

I didn't think the lasagne was too bad, was being sarcastic when I said whopping! lol. I don't think 400 calories is bad for an evening meal.

I am having a tough day today, day number 2. I am really having to stop myself from eating something naughty. But I am being strong, it's just sooo hard. Worse today than yesterday, but probably not as bad as tomorrow. If I can just stick it out for a few weeks, my body will adjust and it won't be so hard anymore. It's just these first few weeks are going to be almost painful for me. Crying or Very sad

Keep at it. When I started back in Jan, I could barely do a mile and a half- and that included walking.

Now, only weeks later- I can do over six miles.
