Oh God I know that feeling. For ages I was telling the health visitors there was something different about my David, but all they ever said was "children all develop at different speeds". I eventually put my foot down and insisted on a refferal to a speech therapist, because at 2 years old, he wasn't even babbling, never mind speaking. After waiting 3 months to see the speech therapist, she agreed with me he had autistic tendancies, and reffered him to a child development peadiatrician. 4 months we waited for that appointment, just to be told what I already knew, he was autistic. i shouldn't have had to wait that long to get him a diagnosis, and the linking support that he needed. The NHS waiting times are rediculous. But hang in there hun, it will get better soon. Please don't blame yourself for what's happening, these things just sometimes happen. x
