Invitations
They are done! I sat all weekend making them with my mum.
Started handing them out today, all the people in my college class are getting an evening invite. No plus ones. We decided that we did not want a party full of people we didn't know/hadn't met even for the evening do. It's a fairly small venue and although it can hold quite a few people we didn't want loads just for the sake of it.
So the invitations are all made out to the person. No "and guest". One of the girls in my class turned round and didn't even say how nice the invitation was before saying "so I can bring my boyfriend?" Uhhhh no. I said that the invitation is for the individual only, we are not giving everyone plus ones. It's not like she'll have noone to talk to since the whole class is invited.
Up til now we've been pretty hassle free so I guess I should be glad that this is the first instance of anything that's really bothered me.

Re: Invitations
lol! thank you *goes to find a medal*
We've basically done everything the way we want, asked opinions along the way and both sets of parents have pretty much let us get on with it. We have invited two of H2B aunts and uncles for family politics but only to the evening and we don't even expect will turn up but his parents asked us if we wouldn't mind.
15 weeks and 3 days to go and my blood pressure is normal :-D

Re: Invitations
We are trying to do that, fight for the things that matter and let everything else go..... not that easy when I have 3 unmarried sisters that things have to be just so.....
Anyway, congrats to you for having a bloody good wedding plan!

Re: Invitations
I haven't been uploading pics of anything, apart from a few of me in my dress. I'll probably do a mass upload of pics after the wedding.

Re: Invitations
Very simple and elegant. Pocket envelope invitations. Decorated with strips of burgundy ribbon and bows. Stamped with Wedding Invitation on the the front. Burgundy underlay then cream for the actual invites and inserts :-)
