grrr.. why dont they advertise things properly?????

Well, i was leafing through 'Brides' magazine the other day, and saw a little article on a lovely hotel in Cephalonia - only 27 rooms, but they raved about it and said it was lovely. I then checked on the link they gave in the mag, and fell in love with it - showed h2b and he loved it too. In the article, it said it cost £690 for 7 nights, so i thought that as we want 10 nights, it would still be in our budget... i emailed the company and said when we wanted to go, where and for how long, and said that i knew it would be a rough estimate as 2011 prices were not available yet..

So, i had an email back from them, basically saying we could only fly from Gatwick (a 2.5 hr drive from where we live), could only fly on a sat, sun, or fri, and according to 2010 prices it would start from £980, not including flights or transfers!!!

So, with the increase, flights, transfers etc, its probably going to cost about 1.5k per person - eeeeekk! We cant afford that!

So, my gripe is, why dont they advertise things correctly with the full price??!!!

I hate it when they do things like that, it always seems like a good offer then when you look into it its always only available if you fly from a london airport and go on this certain day x

They don't advertise those "finer" details because their hoping that by the time you do find out about them, you will be so inlove with the idea, you will spend the extra anyway. It's not good, but unfortunately that's the way most things work.

Im sure you'll find somewhere just as nice within your budget. x
