To save the date or not...?
So we're in the process of moving the ceremony to the sunny island of Australia, and having the party when we get back. We're hoping to have the party sometime in Feb.
But we've decided to wait until the fixture list comes out (21st June) until chosing our celebration date (as we're thinking of moving it to a Satirday and the majority of our guests and probably the groom would be well miffed if they missed a good game, lol).
So when we decide end of June the actual date, do we send save the dates? Or just send invites around november ish time? I would send them at Christmas but I'd think that was too late!
So should I do save the dates in June, and then invites with Christmas cards? Or just invites around November time?
What are you all doing?

I'm sending Save the Dates, but only because we're asking a lot of my family to come over here from Ireland in August, which is peak holiday season. (And because they were very cheap from Vista Print).
I think if we were having it at any other time of the year I wouldn't have bothered.

Re: To save the date or not...?
soon as I decide on a date I'm going to send them, although they may just be emails!
It's just because I figure if we know when it is, we might as well tell people, that way they know and can book around it (or not)!
Our is going to be the first w/end of the Easter hols next year and I've a lot of friends that are teachers, so it's mainly in case they decide to go off on holiday - hopefully they can delay a day or 2
xx
