Are we nuts?

So as most of you know we're going to Australia for 5 weeks to watch the ashes. And because we're going on an organised tour we're staying in 5* hotels the whole way (wooh), so we decided this would be the PERFECT honeymoon.

The only problem is the trip to Australia is 8 months before our wedding?

We decided we didn't really care and are reffering to it as our honeymoon as we won't go on one now after the wedding (won't be able to afford a thing after this trip, lol), but my friends keep telling me off saying I'm not allowed to call it my honeymoon.

Plus my mum is disappointed that she doesn't get to buy us something for our honeymoon for our wedding? She was looking forward to the honeymoon gift list, which we now wont have. (My mum is weird...)

So do you think we're nuts? Or who cares, its our honeymoon

If you want to call it your honeymoon, then call it that! Theres no need for anyone else to burst your bubble, tell them to leave you alone!

Loads of people have their honeymoon several months later for various reasons. You can still have a honeymoon gift list as well!

Why not!! You can go on honeymoon whenver you like- we havent booked ours yet and we've been married 3 months
We have had a minimoon though- I suggest you have one of these, you will need a couple of days to relax after all the excitment- ours was amazing, was so nice to just be the 2 of us on our own after all the wedding/christmas crazyness.
I'm guessing you're coming to Melbourne, do you know where you're staying or need help with getting around Melbourne? We've lived here 6 years now so know it pretty well.
