Evening buffet help please!
Hey girls,
We sorted out the menus last night, was quite easy actually! We have two options for the evening buffet, either a more traditional buffet or a scottish buffet. Both menus are the same price, 6 different options for £5 per person, so we just need to pick what we want. We have narrowed each menu down to the 6 things we would pick, but as a guest what would people prefer?
Traditional Menu Option 1 - A selection of sandwiches rolls and wraps with delux fillings
Poppy and sesame seeded sausage rolls and onion sausage rolls
Selection of pakora and dipping sauce
Chicken tikka kebabs
Pizza bites with various toppings
Lightly curried vegetable and chickpea samosas
Scottish Menu Option 2 - Lightly smoked chicken with braised ayrshire tatties
Venison pasties with toasted pistachios
Hot smoked salmon or brocolli tarts with mascerpone cheese
Mini roast beef and arran mustard rolls
Hot smoked trout and creme fraiche on granary rolls
Montgomery cheddar with mini oatcakes and fruit chutney
I think we should have the Scottish finger buffet, it fits in with our scottish theme of the day, but Wull thinks people might be put off with it being a bit 'fancy'.
And ideas welcome!

Re: Evening buffet help please!
Yeah - menu 2 for me as well!
It might sound a bit fancy but in reality its actually quite a simple menu, (although with high quality ingredients) once you cut through the arty- farty of it(i am a qualified chef so i know how they dress things up!?!!) - (sorry i dont mean that to sound nasty )- but i think its going to be really effective? I also think people will be more impressed with it rather than the first choice which is pretty standard?
I think it fits really well with your theme - and to be honest, its mostly for the evening guests as the day guests will have had the wedding breakfast meal - and most of the evening guests will have eaten before they come to your do iykwim?

Menu 2!!
Looks amazing!
We're having a 'westcountry' buffet for the evening and I'm so looking forward to it!
