Chair cover hire? Check out this quote! lol

Ive emailed two companies to get a quote for chair cover hire, table linen and napkins. The first company quoted me on 70 chairs, the second on 64 chairs cos I didnt know exactly how many I needed.

First quote -

70 x Chair covers & chair ties @ £3.00ea = £210.00
10 x 70"x108" table linens @ £7.48ea = £74.80
70 x Napkins @ £0.70ea = £49.00
Carriage £30.00 (delivery & uplift only)

TOTAL COST = £363.80

Second quote -

All prices include delivery set up and collection
65 chair covers with sash = £188.50
65 white napkins = £32.50
10 white tablecloths =£40
Total = £261

But the second company also do a decoration package -

65 chair covers with sash
65 white napkins + matching ribbon
10 white tablecloths
4 long tables decorated
with 8 centrepieces+
mirrors,runners, tealights
scatter crystals
Top and cake table swag
2 decorated bay trees
Total =£310


£310??!!! Im going to ask what she puts in her centrepieces, and to remove the scatter crystals (Ive already bought them) and bay trees cos I dont need them, and see what her price is. And then probably book her! Is it just me or is that a fantastic price??!!

Im not sure on whether to do chair covers as I've always thought it was the BIGGEST waste of money, but I now agree it makes a venue look stunning.

It's a case of my wedding brain V my wallet/my sensible brain ! AGRHH

I love chair covers, have been quoted £8 per chair for the ceremony venue so my head is winning on that phase - no way am paying that for 180 guests!

I think that quote is fantastic though - I'd be biting her hand off!!

£8??! Seriously? Thats shockingly high!

I wouldnt pay that either, it would cost £1440 for chair covers for you!!

Ive emailed that woman back asking what her centrepieces are, Ive already bought vases and candles but it depends on what she is offering if I use my own or not.

Going tonight to try the chair cover samples on the chairs, hope something fits!

Was just going to post the pics that that woman sent me of the centrepieces. Its those martini vases she has, but Wull is saying he doesnt like them. lol, who cares what he says!
