Friend issues

I have a friend who I've known around 6 years. We're not *best* friends, but we are close. When we got engaged, she asked me if she could come dress shopping with me - to which I said yes, but that it was a long way off yet.

So my BM's got together behind my back and planned a dress shopping day for me - I was only told the night before. We had a fab day and I got my dress

Got a lot going on at the moment, and realised yesterday that this friend hadn't actually spoken to me for nearly 4 weeks, so I emailed her just to check all was ok.

Got a reply back saying that she wanted to come dress shopping and that i'd really upset her by not asking her and that she'd only found out via Facebook that i'd been. She is the kind to bottle this kind of thing up and not talk about things.

I've tried apologising to her, but nothing's working.

Why do weddings bring out the worst in some people?

Any advice from you lovely ladies how I should handle this?

how about taking her to see your dress? and so she can see you in it??

That's actually a really good idea

Am going to try my dress on again on Saturday morning as i'm having wobbles, so i'll ask her to come to that. Chances are I'll get ignored but at least i'll have tried
