Re: Morning Sickness
Aww hun, I had this with my first, but was lucky enough not to have it with my second. I feel for you, it's awful I found it faded away after the 12 week mark. Ginger biscuit before you get up can help I found. Other than that, it's just one of the unpleasant side effects of pregnancy that you have to put up with. Baby will be worth it though! x

Re: Morning Sickness
With my first i had it really bad and lasted til 5months but with this one it went at 13 weeks. One thing i found tho is that even if you dont feel like eating, it's best to have something cos the empty hungry feeling will make the sickness worse. And dont have anything citrusy if you are feeling sick cos then you will be. I ate alot of toast and found that, that stayed down quite well...
Did you have your scan on sat?? if so how did it go?

Re: Morning Sickness
I dragged my butt to the shop and bought a bacon sandwich as it was all I wanted, I feel loads better!
Yeh I had my scan Saturday, I have an inverted uterus which ment it is harder to see baby but the man said this is normal, he managed to see the sac etc and everything looks good and is where it should be. I am measuring at 6-7 weeks.
I am going back on the 13th (no extra cost) and he said he should be able to see baby properly then.

Awww, that's nice. There's not really much to see at the moment, but you'll notice the difference at your 12 weeks scan, as he/she will have little arms and legs then. I remember having a ticker like yours when I was pregnant and used a baby-focussed forum. I loved it when it changed each week and said different things about baby's development.
Kelly is right about the hunger, the hunger will make the sick feeling worse, so eat if you can, prefferably dry food. I struggled to keep down a dry slice of bread, but still tried, simply because I felt a bit better after eating. x

Yeh I do feel better after eating.
I think there will be a difference at 9 weeks aswell! My ticker has changed this week, it now looks a bit like a baby

Awww, it is a baby, just a teeny tiny one at the minute! I'm warning you now though, the pregnancy will drag. 40 weeks seems to feel like forever when your expecting. And being the impatient person that I am, it just seemed like a lifetime to me! Looking forward to your updates throughout. I get the feeling h2b wants another one, so I may be pregnant by the end of the year again. Not sure if that's a good thing.......lol

Re: Morning Sickness
Aw great news on the scan hun - Thats fab news, makes it seem more real when you start having scans dosent it.
As for the sickness -, big hugs for you, its the worst feeling ever - i had it terribily with my little one - i even got admitted into hospital at one point as i caught a bug on top of the sickness and couldnt keep anything down.
I second Ginger - its great, i used to carry a bottle of ginger ale with me everywhere and i swore by it - it was the only thing that seemed to work.
The sickness will ease up after the first trimester - but the sicky feeling comes and goes ( although everyone is different)If you have sickness in the morning try and have something light and try ( toast/crackers) for brekkie and keep eating light and often during the day - You have to keep your glucose levels up. If you can, avoid coffee and strong smells/tastes as that could turn your tummy further - i found lots of fresh friut like melon and grapes really refreshing in those first few months.
It does get better hun - just make sure you have plenty of rest as over doing it on the first few months can result in over tiredness and that = worn out mummy to be and more sickyness

Re: Morning Sickness
Thanks Hun.
I just want coke at the moment so I have sent my friend to get me diet caffeine free coke!
I can see my pregnancy is going to drag because I am so impatient although I have known for nearly two weeks already and that has gone pretty quick! With having a scan on 13th I will only be 2 weeks away from NHS 12 week scan, I then plan on having a gender scan at 16 weeks and the NHS one at 20 weeks so hopefully that should make it go quicker!

Re: Morning Sickness
It will go really quick trust me - apart from those last few weeks at the end, then you feel tired, fed up of being huge and just want to meet your little one. Take each day as it comes and try and enjoy being pregnant - i thought i hated being preggers at the time but looking back it was a nice time.
Aww so you are finding out what you are having then? I did too - there was no way i was not gonna not wanna know! Have you told h2bs kids yet x

Re: Morning Sickness
Yeh we will be finding out.
We probably won't tell them until after the 12 weeks scan, they have enough to deal with at the moment, their Mum is about to give birth.
