Newbie- Any ideas how I can put my green and pink colour scheme together?

Hello ladies,

I have been lurking on here ever since fetti changed and am now only just brave enought to post

I marry my fiancee on 1/5/11 and after changing my mind so many times have decided on a sage green and pink scheme to hopefully tie in with the converted barn we are getting married in.

I would like sage green dresses for my bridesmaids with pink and cream flowers and I really want gerberas. Does anyone think these will go? Am I supposed to have a larger version of the bridesmaids flowers for my own and can anyone think of how to tie this in with the grooms party suits and table decoration?

no bridesmaids dont have too have a smaller version of yours some people have 1 flower too hold i wouldnt have a clue where too start as in your colours maybe sage ad dresses with pink organza ribbon to tie maybe? xx

Green and pink work very well together! (contrasting colours and all).

I've seen a bridesmaid dress before that was sage green with a pink and cream ribbon around it.

If I was you I'd have sage green as your main colour with touches of pink and cream. This way your bridesmaids could be sage green, while their flowers could be pink and cream

There was a recent article in 'Wedding Ideas' (i think??) in the Feb issue which had loads of ideas how to combine these 2 colours - they looked fabulous together!

I agree with Kr15 - go with sage as your main colour, and use pink as accents - e.g. flowers, ribbon, hair accessories, shoes?

You could tie the pink and green in with the groomsmen by having the same flowers as the BM's in the best man & ushers buttonholes, and one of the same flowers from your bouquet as the grooms buttonhole? If your not having flowers, then you could use sage and pink hankerchiefs for the groom and his men??

I really love the idea of the pink with touches of green, very modern vintage, beautiful!
