Dress alterations…….
How much did you pay?
And if you hired a hoop from your dress shop how much did you pay?
Been for my first fitting today and I needed the bust of my dress taken in (which is good)
And some of the length and a hoop thing added so I can hold it up at night.
And she wants £90 and £40 for hoop is that a good price ?

Re: Dress alterations…….
I think hoops cost about the same to rent as they do to buy, its just your preference.
I have paid £160 for my alterations (well i will do), but that is for as many as i need between when the dress arrives and the wedding. So if i do end up loosing more weioght they wont charge me any more pennies. I chose this route because they ordered a size 6 (I think its american size 6 as i am NOT that small!). My bust and waist measured up to a size 4 but my hips were 6, so they took the widest point and told me i'd have to have a reasonable ampunt of alterations.
One shop wanted about the same price as you are paying, but if you think you can get them done chaper elsewhere you are entitled to take the dress form the shop.
Your dress is beautiful, by the way!
