Ooops! Crap mum day! Totally OT

After nagging my lovely 13 year old son about personal hygiene and buying him clearasil etc for his skin he has had an allergic reaction to it, his poor wee face is all swollen and he can't open one of his eyes, has been given anti histamines and antibiotics from doctor and is not a happy wee guy! I was only trying to get him into a good skincare routine cos he got 1 wee tiny pimple. I feel so mean and I was only trying to help him, ooops!

Oh the poor wean!

What was it he was allergic to in it? You could try him with Simple products? They are lanolin free, lanolin is a common thing to cause allergic reactions

He is totally spaced out on the antihistamines, lol, not seen any improvement yet tho, thank goodness school is off this week or else it would be a fight to get him there, he has been getting loads of sympathy from my mum and dad while I've been at work, lol, hopefully it will settle over the next few days

A wee update
Because it seemed to be getting worse instead of better after 3 days of treatment, the side of his face was swollen, couldn't open his eye and had a nasty looking rash spreading on his face I took him to A&E at lunchtime and he has been admitted to hospital-he has shingles in his eye and the treatment could take 5 days. Cos he's over 12 he is in an adult hospital and I've been sent home, the staff said I could stay, but he said no, so I'm sitting here at 2am thinking I might just go back and stay, it's been a long day and my mum and dad can't go to visit him cos of mums chemo just now-she's going to have to contact her consultant as she has had contact with the wee guy while he has had this-ooops.
A horrible, long and tiring day-I just want to sleep but can't! hopefully he is on the mend this time tho!

That's him home and reunited with his x-box! That was a long few days doing 13 hours of visiting a day, I have complete respect for parents who have kids in hospital a lot, it was a nightmare, didn't help that he was in a hospital on the other side of Glasgow. anyway, he is home and on the mend at last, but we all have to stay away from my mum until after the weekend and she will be given a dose of the same antibiotics he has had with her next chemo-nothing is ever straightforward, lol. I'll be having a nice early night tonight I think!
