Booked the cake woman, need ideas though

Went to meet her last night, Gill the cake woman lol! She was lovely, and I got a taste of her carrot cake cupcake, and a lemon cupcake. Oh they were just beautiful!!! So Im now having a cupcake tower with a top tier for cutting, as it works out sooo much cheaper than a 3 tier cake!

Need some help with the design though. Im hoping to have chocolate cupcakes, but will the tower look strange with most cupcakes iced with white/ivory on top, then some of them being chocolate? I could just keep the chocolate ones off the stand, and just serve them out with the rest of them, but will people think it strange that they werent on the cake??

I would go for the chocolate cupcakes in random places so it breaks the white/ivory up - if that makes sense!?!

I guess it would depend on how many of each you were having?

You culd do one tier of chocolate, one of ivory, one of chocolate etc, or as Toriap says, go random. Either will look great I think!

Im thinking of having 4 or 5 flavours, maybe 25 of each, so 100-125 cupcakes in total, so one each (and hopefully some left over lol!)

So Im thinking chocolate with chocolate butter icing, carrot cake, lemon and I need two more flavours. Gill said she can make anything I want, but Im drawing a blank as to flavours people will like...

How about sponge with some fresh berries in or orange drizzle x

Cherry with morrello cherry topping?
Coffee with vanilla icing?
Toffee with banoffee topping?
Vanilla with strawberry topping?
