Doctors are rubbish!

Well as I mentioned a few weeks back I was thinking about going back on the pill to make sure I was not on for the wedding, I went to docs last night to sort this out, as I have been on cilest before it was not brilliant for me so I asked what other options there was, he just said ok I will give you mini pill to try and hurried me out of the room! So I googled it last night and it says as long as I am on mini pill I dont take a break therefore I wont have a period but it can cause some irregular bleeding! arrghh this is exactly NOT what I wanted, the whole reason was to control them. Any one else been on the mini pill? x

Sorry mrs, its been donkeys years since Ive been on the pill, so no advise from me on that.

Have you got a local family planning clinic you could go to instead of the doctor? They are more equipped and more ready to listen to you than your doctor

I had the implant put in last year, and Ive never had a period or any bleeding. I was on the depo injection for about 6 years before that with no bleeding or periods at all. God, Ive not had a single period for over 7 years

Oh zeps, you're a lucky woman. I'd love to not have periods, I hate them. I might give the implant a go after the Wedding. But I'll probaly be one of the unlucky ones who have irregular bleeding with it.

Sarah, I have been on Mycrogynon 30 for over 8 years, with a years break inbetween for a baby. I've never had any problems with it. Could you not try something like that? Perhaps research the different types of pill online, then go back to a diffrent doctor and suggest which one you think would be best?

I've bene on Depo for over 10 years now with no periods. It's bloody wonderful!

Haha well apparently with the mini pill you dont get a period but sometimes get bleeding or spotting I think, would just be my luck to get that on the wedding day! I have been on Mycrogynon before and hated it, it gave me horrendous cramps at that time of the month. I must just have a fussy body haha. Yeah think I will go to clinic x

And now I have a wonderful 6 year old daughter!!!!!

So please beware…..

I'm on the mirena coil have been now for 2 years

Its wonderful no periods no pain no mood swings…

After I had it in my periods stopped with in weeks

I did read that, that the mini pill is not as effective think I better get to the clinic and get something else lol x

I was on the mini pill a few years ago and it was awful. I cried EVERY day and hated not knowing if I would get a period or not.

Before I had to stop the pill altogether due to migraines, I was on one that each week has different hormone levels which I really liked. Can't remember the name, maybe trinovum. It is supposed to follow your bodies natural hormones more closely.

I went crazy on the Depo - and had a breakdown, not good! And never again!

God, the things us women have to go through! x

There is a lot of people that say that. My SIL2b was like that (so she says), and when I was on it and I got annoyed/upset/angry Wull would be like 'Thats cos you are on that jag!' Eh no, its cos you have just pissed me off!!

I think I did feel a bit crazy sometimes, but not really more than usual

It affects us and our horomones in different ways....for one person it can be fantastic, for the next it can be a total negative effect on there body. I wasnt at a good place at the time anyway so that prob didnt help! But like you Zeps iam a tad crazy anyway! x
