Favour idea..... what do you think?? Empty Favour idea..... what do you think??

Hey girls,

I was flipping through a wedding mag the other day, and it said about having a 'lucky dip' style thing for favours. Basically, assorted favours would be wraped up, and put in bowls on the tables, guests would then pick their own from the bowl, in a lucky dip type way.

I quite liked this idea as I dont want a lot of things on the tables (think with the glasses, centrepieces, cutlery, napkins etc there wont be room for much more!!), I thought of getting a lot of small favours (thinking of mini soaps, mini bath fizzers, trolley coins, bottle openers, key rings, small silly toys) of similar value, wrapping them up in green or ivory paper (our colours) and putting them in a massive bowl in the reception with a sign saying 'Luck of the Irish' (Irish being our theme) favour dip... one per guest, help yourself'??

So, wondered what you would think if you were at a wedding and they had this? Would you prefer the favours on a bowl on each table, individual favours at place settings, or all the favours in a bowl??

I do have concerns that the kids might take more than one and get a bit silly, but then i figured it was up to their parents to keep them from doing that (the youngest child will be 5, oldest will be 14, with most around the 10-12 age)!!??!!

Any thoughts would be welcome!

xx
