UPDATE on all my dramas

Hi Girls
Apologies for not being around these last few days, just want to say thankyou for all your kind words and advice the last couple of days. I have been non stop in work since monday and have stayed with a freind up untill yesterday. I have to say going to work and keeping me busy has done me the world of good - its nice to focus on other people and their lives sometimes to remind you that maybe my problems arnt as dire as they seem.
A few days away from h2b has helped too - we had a good chat on the phone the other day - he finally admitted there was a problem, he said he loved me very much and wanted to make it work. He has phoned his ex to meet up with her to chat about there daughter and promised me she will now bw in more of a routine as of tonight. Fingers crossed.
Plus we are going over his mums the weekend to tell his parents about the wedding.
I do think going away for a couple of days has shown him ( like i thought it would) that iam serious about some change.
Its early days i just hope it stays like he has promised. So Just taking each day as it comes for now. We are going away together in May to Corfu, just us, so hopefully we will have the time and space we need to keep sorting things out, iam gonna stop my rants about him his daughter now - as i have to be positive too that things will work out
But just want to thank the girls who ent there messages and posts for there lovely words - your all gems x x

That's terrific. I know you probably still have a long way to go but it looks lik you really got through to him. I hope it all works out and I'm sure a break to Corfu will do your relationship the world of good.

ps - I may not know you in the real world but I found myself looking up train timetables after your last post to see how easy you'd find it to get the train and stay at mine, I was just so pissed off about how much of a tit he was being!

I did this too! Trains to Glasgow arent that cheap though..... lol

Im happy that this has made him sit up and take notice, just make sure you take things slow and make sure he understands how much his behaviour impacts on all your lives.

Thats great news - really pleased things are looking up!

Seems to me that weekend was just what you both needed to a) make him see what you mean to him, and b) to show you and him that you can and will survive on your own (however hard it would be!)

That's great news hun. I'm thrilled for you, I just hope he means it. New start, so start as you mean to carry on, don't let things slip back to the way they were! I'm glad he's finally acknowledged there's a problem with his daughter. Hopefully now the whole situation will improve. And atlast! He's finally going to tell his parents! Yayyyy! Yes hopefully he means it and we can move forward, its just day at a time at the mo....iam not gonna set myself up for huge high hopes just incase.

Ive come to think i dont really care ( i know that sounds harsh)
But if they cant be happy for us then it dosent say much about them as parents, plus its not like we are expecting any money from there for it - i just hope they can accept it for their sons benefit x

Yeah his dad is great! I love him too bits, his mum is nice but a little bit of a drama queen, one of his sisters is lovely, and the other...well we dont get on!
I think its too stronger way to say i dont care, but i just think they have no reason to be funny about us gettng married, at the end of the day we are both old enough, both work, happy ( when hes not being a knob)
Yes h2b owes them money, but i have heared on numerous occasions, when h2b has spoken to his dad about repaying his dad has declined his offers!
I hope they are happy - i reckon his dad will be, but not sure about his mum...Shes a little one sided on his 2 kids and the ex...god knows why as its all in the past!

Well being the mother of 2 boys myself, I can honestly say that no mother is ever going to think of any woman being "good enough" for her son. lol

Having said that, what my boys want to do when they're older, I will be happy with, as long as they're happy. And then I shall kill any woman who does hurt them! lololol

Hopefully his parents will be happy for you both, but if not, oh well, sod it, we're all happy for you anyway! lol. x

His mum has no reason to be unhappy at the end of the day;
I have took on his 2 kids
I look after him
I have not treated him like rubbish cheated on him etc (like the ex did)
I work hard, i pay the mortagage
Iam always polite curteous and resepctful to her and her family

Lol just a little list there - but its true, iam not a spiteful money grabbing slut like his ex was, and its about time she realises that! I think she does deep down, she is just old fashioned and believes people who have kids should belong together - but we are in a different world to when she was growing up! Alot of people these days do come with baggage now! Me and her son included! x

I know what you mean. My nan is very much of the same old fashioned opinion. When she found out I was pregnant with my first (I was only 16 ), her exact words were:

"Well Charlotte, you must get married then" in her Irish accent. My words were "urm no nan, I must not". lol. Bless her. Thank God I didn't do what she wanted though, otherwise I would've been stuck with the worlds briggest walking pr1ck ever. lol

Its crazy how some people are of the view you should just get married because of certain reasons! - People back in our nans day must have had lonely sad lives? x

From what I can make out, back in my nan's day, there was very rarely sex before marriage
